Technologies

We work with a small set of technologies, so that we deliver quickly and can maintain what we have delivered. The radar shows what we build with today and what we are evaluating now. The list below it explains what we use each technology for.

Technology radar

2026

A small set of technologies, chosen deliberately.

2026 edition. Filled dots are technologies we build with today; outlined dots are under evaluation on real problems. Pick a dot or a name in the legend for details.

Languages and frameworks

I
  1. 01

    TypeScript

    Standard

The language of all our code, from interfaces to infrastructure scripts. Types catch errors before delivery and keep projects easy to maintain.

  2. 02

    React

    Standard

The foundation of our interfaces, rendered on the server for pages that load fast the first time. The same library covers web and mobile.

  3. 03

    React Router

    Standard

The framework of our web applications: routing, data loading and server rendering in one system. This site runs on it.

  4. 04

    React Native

    Standard

Applications for iOS and Android from a single codebase, published and kept up to date in both app stores.

  5. 05

    Go

    Evaluating

A compiled language for network services and command-line tools. We are evaluating it for the components where fast startup and a small footprint matter.

Cloud and infrastructure

II
  1. 06

    Cloudflare Workers

    Standard

The platform our applications run on: code executed close to users, with no servers to manage and costs that grow only with use.

  2. 07

    Cloudflare D1

    Standard

The SQL database of our applications on Workers: managed SQLite with automatic backups.

  3. 08

    Cloudflare R2

    Standard

Object storage for files, images and documents, S3-compatible and with no egress fees.

  4. 09

    AWS Lambda

    Standard

Serverless functions for event-driven processing and integrations between systems, designed around actual usage and budget.

  5. 10

    AWS S3

    Standard

Our default object storage for files, archives and project data, with access rules, versioning and predictable costs.

  6. 11

    AWS DynamoDB

    Standard

A managed NoSQL database for large volumes with constant latency at any scale, paid per use.

  7. 12

    AWS Aurora DSQL

    Standard

The serverless SQL database from AWS, PostgreSQL-compatible, distributed across regions and scaled automatically with traffic. We use it where a client's data has to stay in their own AWS account.

  8. 13

    AWS Neptune

    Evaluating

A managed graph database. We are evaluating it for data with complex relationships, where queries across relationships outperform relational tables.

  9. 14

    Neon

    Evaluating

Serverless PostgreSQL, with database branches created on demand for every environment. We are evaluating it for projects that need Postgres without infrastructure administration.

Platforms and data

III
  1. 15

    Shopify

    Standard

The platform of the online stores we build and operate: catalog, payments, shipping and invoicing in one system.

  2. 16

    Hydrogen

    Standard

The Shopify framework for custom storefronts, rendered on the server. The Instrumente Creative store runs on it.

  3. 17

    Payload

    Standard

The content management system inside our applications: editors work in clear interfaces, and the data stays in the project database.

  4. 18

    PostgreSQL

    Standard

Our default relational database for data that needs complex queries. With the pgvector extension it also serves as the basis for semantic search in our AI projects.

Artificial intelligence

IV
  1. 19

    Model Context Protocol

    Standard

The standard through which we connect client systems to AI assistants: documented MCP servers with clear permissions and an audit log.

  2. 20

    AWS Bedrock

    Standard

Model access through AWS infrastructure, for projects where the data has to stay in the client's cloud account.

  3. 21

    OpenRouter

    Standard

A single access point to several model providers, with cost control and model switching without code changes.

  4. 22

    Kong AI Gateway

    Standard

A gateway for the AI traffic of larger systems: limits, logging and rules about which data reaches which model, enforced at the infrastructure level.

Send us a few lines about what you want to build. We reply with specific technical questions about data, integrations, traffic and budget, then with a written architecture proposal.
